Questions to ask yourself: 1. Am I passive or aggressive by nature? 2. Am I emotional or a thinker by nature? 3. Am I introverted or extroverted by nature? 4. Do I like people? 5. Do I like my job? The answer can possibly determine your response to situations that may arise.
Do not apologize for doing your job. Apologies sound like a request and respond to all alarms.
Keep your ego out of problems with patrons, it is NOT personal. Do not react, just respond.
